Pulp Fiction (often referred to as “the pulps“) were inexpensive fiction magazines that were published from 1896 to the 1950s. The term pulp derives from the cheap wood pulp paper on which the magazines were printed.

‘Everyone Has The Right To Be An Artist’ was one of the winning paintings in the Daily Mail’s ‘NOT The Turner Prize’ competition in May 2003, out of 10,000 entries.  Brett explained “This picture pokes fun at the contemporary art scene.  I’d seen a museum sculpture of welded pots and pans on sale for thousands of dollars, so I created a picture of ladies making their own pots and pans sculpture.”
